Everyone must register their kart number. If your number has already been registered by another participant during the season, you may have to select an alternate number. No letters are allowed, unless an exception is requested from, and granted by, the series director. Number registration is good for the current racing season.

Each driver must register at the registration table, and draw a pill. In addition, each racer must bring one gallon of fuel with him/her to registration.

The minimum driver age to compete is 15 years old. If series director determines that a driver, regardless of age, would benefit from more experience, he/she may be required to start all races (heat and/or feature) at the rear until such time as the race director determines that the racer appears to be more consistent and confident with his/her machine.

TECH
Tech inspector will conduct inspections. Karts can only leave when dismissed by Tech Inspector. Each racer or crew chief must bring tools to remove all requested parts from the engine.

Any kart may be called into tech after the feature by the race director or designee, regardless of finishing position, and without explanation. If this kart is found to be illegal, he/she will be stripped of all winnings (including any from a previous heat race) and points. In addition, if the illegal kart is deemed to have intentionally aided another kart by pushing him/her forward, BOTH karts may be subject to disqualification.

A minimal amount of silicone sealant will be allowed to reseal a welsh plug. If any silicone is found inside the carb, it will be grounds for disqualification, if determined excessive by the tech staff.

IMPORTANT: Tech will be done by the designated tech inspector(s) only. Tech inspections in the South East Champ Kart Series are "open", meaning any person can volunteer to observe in the tech area. Any interested parties must get the approval from the series director to serve as an observer, prior to the tech inspection beginning. Observers are not allowed to contribute (either verbally or otherwise) during the tech procedure, unless specifically approved to do so by the series director and designated tech official. All decisions will be binding and final. Only the driver, and one other person from each motor will be allowed in tear down area.
