SECKS variance from WKA rules

4. Minimum weight with driver is 410 pounds, as weighed following race.
5. Minimum seat height not enforced.
6. No WKA "tag" required for older champ kart frames. However, no structural modifications are allowed from the original design. Frame must meet all other WKA dimension and specifications requirements, and be deemed safe by the race director.
7. Two number panels must be hung from the upper frame rails, on both sides.
8. All header pipes must be fully wrapped, with "header wrap". It is not necessary to wrap a muffler (if utilized).
9. All racers must use a 17-tooth front driver. The driver must be in unaltered condition, as received from the manufacturer. No modifications or alterations, of any kind, are allowed to the driver.
10. A minimal amount of silicone sealant will be allowed to reseal a welsh plug on the outside of the carb only. If any silicone is found inside the carb, it will be grounds for disqualification.
11. All drivers must have, at a minimum, a full SFI (fire-rated) suit. The suit may be one, or two-piece. Any SFI rating is allowable.
12. If a driver is dq'd in tech for any reason, including refusal to participate in and/or to complete tech, he/she will be credited with a zero. This "zero" will not be eligible to be used as a season drop. (See exception for Welsh Plug noted above).
13. If a driver is dq'd at the scale for being light, by more than five pounds under the minimum (e.g. weighs 404 or less), he/she will be credited with a zero. This "zero" will not be eligible to be used as a season drop.
14. Helmet Net and Head Restraint Device required.
15. Effective with the March 13, 2010 race, All noses must measure a minimum of 16 inches, as measured from the floorpan, to the top rearward center edge of the nose. No additional pieces can be added to the rearward center of the nose, to make it higher. The rearward edge of the nose must remain unaltered, as received from the manufacturer.
The South East Champ Kart Series utilizes many WKA rules, but is not a sanctioned series. All decisions made by the series are final and binding, and in no way are governed by WKA or any other sanctioning body. |
